Story

My cousin Dewi Edwards lost his battle with Mental Health on December 23rd, after suffering for a decade with addiction & depression, Dewi was the most gentle giant with the biggest heart, who would help anyone in need, but struggled with his own problems for years, which lead him to take his own life. I am going to complete a Marathon in January to raise awareness for mental health & for our Dewi, if you’d like to join in you can run or walk a marathon in January with me!

Miles for Mental Health is Rethink Mental Illness' first virtual event! My challenge is to run a marathon over the course of a month in any way I want. You may be new to running or a seasoned pavement hitter the idea is to get out and run to improve your health and mental wellbeing while raising vital funds for Rethink Mental Illness. I plan to finish the marathon distance over this month and will be supporting my mental health and people living with mental illness.

Dewi - this is for you - i love you x
