Story

Unlike my dad and sister, I've decided I'm not cut out for running marathons, so I've decided to spend my September walking nearly 200 miles... Over the course of 2 weeks (or a little longer),  I'm going to follow Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk from St. Bees Head to Robin Hood's Bay.

You can see the route here: https://www.contours.co.uk/walking-holidays/maps/coast-to-coast-walk-map.gif

It passes through the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors travelling from the West to the East Coast.

While the walk is supposed to be very beautiful, knowing English weather and the fact that I only did bronze D of E, it's probably going to be pretty gruelling, so please, please sponsor me!!

My grandpa has been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. The rapid progression of the disease is horrible to see. In my grandpa's case, he has also experienced maltreatment and substandard quality of care.  This shouldn't just be a fact of old age. Please give generously so that we can improve the quality of care in this country and prevent the next generation from ever developing Dementia and Alzheimer's.
