We are running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 1st April 2012 to raise funds for the Prospect Hospice.

The Prospect offers free dedicated end of life care and support to patient's family and friends in the Swindon and North Wilts area. Prospect’s dedicated care supports more than 1600 patients, and their families, every year. It costs more than £5 million to provide, with less than a third of their funding from statutory sources, including the NHS, so they are largely dependent on the support of the local community.

Our Nan passed away recently in December and the wonderful nurses from the Prospect cared for her and supported us as a whole family. We are truly grateful for the Prospect's care and we would very much like to offer something back.... so we have decided to run... until it's gonna hurt !!
