Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My mam Christine Walton was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on the 29th March 2019. She started Chemotherapy at North Tees Hospital on 16th May and coped well with the treatment. She was due her 2nd course of chemo on 6th June but died suddenly on 26th May from a massive haemorrhage due to a blood clot. Words cannot express the heartache my family and I are experiencing at this time and nothing can take that pain away. What I am keen to do is something positive for those that helped her through her treatment. The Lung Health Clinic and the Chemo Day Unit at North Tees Hospital were great and the teams delivering her care were lovely and did an amazing job. I would like to give something back to them which is why my friends and I are taking part in the Great North Run and will be splitting the funds made between the 2 wards.
I have the best friends Joanne, Leanne, Laura and Karen who want to run in memory of my mam with me so we can make as much money as possible for the hospital that helped her. I am so grateful to them for this.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and we appreciate any donation whatever the value x
