Story
I am so delighted to be fundraising for Cavernoma Alliance UK. As some of you know I had 3 bleeds in the space of a year and then surgery for a cerebellum cavernoma in January 2020. This charity were such a massive support for me during this time, from advice pre surgery in the community group to encouragement and virtual events to get involved with while I recovered during Covid. The work they do is truly invaluable and I cannot describe enough the impact they have not only for me but for countless others dealing with cavernomas. I am so looking forward to hike Snowdon and along the way raise some money for this very worthy charity!
June 2023 is Cavernoma Awareness Month and this year we're doing something particularly special. We're climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to help raise awareness about cavernoma and also to raise funds for Cavernoma Alliance UK. A cavernoma is a common but often unheard of condition caused by a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain or spine. Cavernoma Alliance UK supports people affected by cavernoma. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected through education, support and research. To find out more visit www.cavernoma.org.uk.
