I am running the Reading Half Marathon for the first time on Sunday 20th March 2011 to raise money for ShelterBox.

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers the essentials that a family needs to survive the immediate aftermath of a disaster. 

Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. Each box costs £590 and your donation will go directly to purchasing the items in each ShelterBox and to the transportation and certification of each box.
