Story
On Saturday 5th May @ 0730 I, along with some zoo friends, will be embarking (nervously) on a gruelling 106 km non-stop walk around the coastline of the Isle of Wight. We've trekked through steamy Sumatran jungles together and up (and down) the Peak District's peaks but never before have we endeavoured to walk this ridiculous distance in one go. So, we've no idea what to expect apart from blisters the size of the moon and moans of a similar size no doubt! The idealistic training has not gone to plan, or anywhere really so this will be a step (steps rather) into the unknown.
Having reached my target for the charity I was initially raising money for from the walk I am now dedicating any remaining donations to The Wildheart Trust, the Charity I formed last year to take on and grow the work of the Isle of Wight Zoo (see a little info below for those of you who may not know what we do).
THANK YOU FOR ANY LOSE CHANGE (OR NOTES!) WHICH YOU CAN SPARE FOR THIS CAUSE .

Based at the Isle of Wight Zoo, The Wildheart Trust is committed to providing a life-long, loving home to big cats who have been rescued from desperate circumstances. The team work holistically to ensure each individual has an enriched and meaningful life. The cats and wider animal residents also provide an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about, and take action to protect, the natural world as well as individual animals which they encounter in their everyday lives.
