Carol and I usually drink (a lot of) wine/champagne together. In fact on New's Year's Eve  2019 after a few glasses, we decided to sign up for the Peak District Challenge. We'd been spurred on after dancing to the Proclaimer's classic: I'm gonna be. Well, if they can walk 500 miles then 100km over a weekend would be easy, wouldn't it?

Since then, we've sobered up and realised (as our husbands keep helpfully pointing out) that it is a "rather long way". We'll be delighted if we make 50km, ecstatic if we get to 75km and probably in need of resuscitation if we reach 100km!

On a serious note, both our families have been affected by cancer and we want to make difference to help others.
