Update March 2021

Thank you so much to everyone that sponsored the boys last year - unfortunately due to Covid they were unable to complete the planned event as it was understandably delayed. 

But good news! We’ve been given a rescheduled date for the first brutal run and Euan and Jacob will be taking part on Saturday 15th May. Bring on the mud! Xx

The week before Christmas last year was an extremely difficult time- we were all devastated to hear the news that my gorgeous nephew, Samuel, had been diagnosed with leukaemia. It was completely unexpected as until then he had been a happy and fun-loving 2 year old. 

Samuel is doing a great job of fighting the disease but has already faced difficult challenges in his journey so far. He finished his first round of chemo but unfortunately caught chicken pox, which resulted in a 2 week stay in intensive care due to liver failure. This meant his planned treatment had to be postponed- An extremely scary time for our whole family.  Thankfully he has recovered from this and has now been able to start his 2nd phase of treatment. 

During this difficult time the CALM charity has provided invaluable financial and emotional support for Samuel, my sister and brother-in-law, including a grant to help with travel costs for the 80 mile round trip to the regular hospital visits and also emotional support through support groups. 

Euan and Jacob want to help raise money for the CALM Trust charity that is helping their cousin and supporting many other children in the same situation. 

They have challenged themselves to undertake multiple “brutal running” events over the coming year. These are tough off road trail running races that use natural obstacles to spice things up! There will be a plethora of mud, bogs, water and hills! 

They would be extremely grateful for any support and donations that would help this very worthy cause.
