Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am abseiling down spinnaker tower on the 20th April 2014 to raise money for Macmillan who have been an incredible support throughout my dads illness.

My dad suffers from a vary rare form of cancer in his lung and liver and has done for the last 5 years and we are yet to know how to treat him.

For the past year my dad has been funded medication in order to stabilise his cancer however recently we have had some sad news that has informed us that the medication is no longer working and another tumour has formed in his liver :( My dad has previously had chemotherapy and various treatments however these have not been successful.

My dad is an incredible person, he lives day to day and he has not let his illness get him down. He has good and bad days however makes the most of the good days and I could not be prouder of him. I love him with all my heart and I am trying to raise as much money as possible to thank Macmillan for all the hard work and funding they have provided in order to support my dad. Without their help I dont know where we would be now.

Most of you will know the turbulent journey that my dad and my family have been through and have been an incredible support to both me and my dad, and I am forever grateful to you all.

I wanted to do something a bit more dangerous and a bit more bizarre in order to raise as much money as possible, so on the 20th April next year I will be abseiling down the spinnaker tower to raise money for Macmillan. Please sponsor me, every penny counts. Without funding my dad would not have been able to have the treatment that has prolonged his life. This is why we need to raise money to help all those thousands of people out there who need funding in order to keep them alive.

I was naive about cancer until my dad was diagnosed. I didn't really know what it was or the dramatic effects it can have on a persons life. I am a strong person but no one is stronger than my dad. I know that a lot of people will relate to this story and I pray to god that no one has to suffer from this awful disease.

My dads cancer will never fully go, we are aware that it can only ever be stabilised if that is possible. Please support us, we have been through hell with all this and I just want my dad to be okay :( its been bad news recently and he hasn't been well recently and I know he needs a pick me up. So on his birthday on the 24th September I want to show him what I'm doing and how much I've raised.

PLEASE DO NOT TELL MY DAD I'M DOING THIS.

Like i said, please sponsor me, every penny counts and lets raise some money for a well deserved cause.

I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR ANY CONTRIBUTION.

Thank you!!

Come down to Portsmouth on the 20th April if you want to see me attempt to abseil 100m whilst crying and screaming. Should be a good day!
