Three years ago, my sister in-law and husband were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Maisie Ann Pickernell. However her time with them was short, and only 9 weeks and 4 days later, Maisie died of an untreatable genetic condition. During the last few days of her life, she received fantastic care in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

In recognition of the fantastic care they provided, and in memory of Maisie, members of the family have continued to raise money to support the hospital.

On Sunday 12 May, I will be running the Chester Half Marathon to continue the legacy of raising valuable funds to support the hospital.
