BABY CHARLIE HARRISON

Highland Perthshire Marathon · 6 September 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 4th February 2014 I had to say hello and goodbye to the most gorgeous wee boy ever made - Charlie Harrison. My partner and I (Craig) had found out wee Charlie's heart had stopped beating 5 days before his due date. I made a promise to Charlie that I would make him proud of his Mummy as I am so proud of him. Everyday, every hour, every minute little Charlie is in my mind, the pain I feel can't be described. Charlie died due to mild growth restriction something we believe he could have been saved from and could be sitting with us here today. There was nothing wrong with Charlie, he was a perfect little boy, perfect size, perfect wee face, 10 toes, 10 fingers and a cute little tummy.
During the 9 months pregnant with Charlie no one spoke to me about or educated me about babies movements and "old wives tales" like the baby goes quiet just before you in to birth or the baby stops moving as much as it does not have enough room. The advice out there is dated and incorrect. I have now found Count the Kicks, a fantastic charity that EMPOWERS pregnant ladies and gives them the knowledge so they can make the right decisions for themselves and their baby. I wish I had found Count the Kicks whilst pregnant, Charlie could be here today, this charity is the difference between life and death.
So please get behind me so I can raise LOTS of money for Count the Kicks so they can produce AWARENESS leaflets to put in the Bounty packs that every pregnant woman gets at her first midwife appointment. I do not want anymore Mummy's going through what I or my partner have had to go through and still are going through.
These 26 miles are for you Little Charlie Harrrison, your Mummy loves you - you are my sunshine my only sunshine xx
