Story
My name is Charlie Holland, I have now completed my Challenge, and I canoed 52 miles.
I set out to do something that would Challenge me, and I still need your help. For Charlie's Challenge, I planned in late August to canoe at least 50 miles of the Lancaster Canal, from Stainton near Kendal to just north of Preston to raise money for BBC Children In Need.
I am disabled, I have Cerebral Palsy and have mobility issues, but that will not stop me.
I have faced many challenges in my life. But now my challenge is for your support. I want you to help me fundraise. Your donations will be going directly to BBC Children In Need and together WE can make a difference.
My GOAL is simple,...it is to raise money for others.
Children and young people are in need in many ways, and we can all help, even if its just a little, every penny counts. If someone like me, who is disabled can undertake a challenge, you can also by donating what you can to support this challenge and those less fortunate. Anyone who supports the challenge, is supporting children and young people who are in need. All donations will go to Children In Need.
Business can help too! Your support will help your customers! See my website www.charlies-challenge.co.uk
My TEAM; I have a fabulous group of people who have continually supported me throughout my life and during my preparation for this challenge, particularly Lancashire Explorer Scouts and West Lancs SplAShU who will support me in the water and on my journey.
But YOU are important to me!
It will be you and I that raise the money to help, and it will be you and I that make a difference!!
See my website www.charlies-challenge.co.uk for more details and information on my progress and for other ways you can support the challenge. You can also see my LOCAL TV interview, broadcast on 1st August.
I'm doing what I love, with a fundraising twist for BBC Children in Need. Together we can support children and young people across the UK to rebuild their lives.
