Story

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. This is a disease that directly affects my family, as my cousin's son Ben has DMD.

Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. It also ensures families are getting support.

So, against my better judgement and the natural barriers of being asthmatic, short and flat-footed, I have decided to drag myself around 13.1 miles in London on the 9th October. Those of you who know me, will realise this will be very very hard. So please give anything you can, to make the training slightly more bearable and help me round that course in October. I'm grateful for every penny.

Together, we will end Duchenne.

Thank-you!
