Story

2021 marks the 10th year Paula & I will be participating together in the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center’s Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence, and the need to support survivors of DV has only increased in the wake of the global pandemic. A perfect storm of factors including greater isolation, the stress of financial setbacks, and a sharp rise in gun ownership, have increased risk and dangerousness for those experiencing intimate partner abuse. At the same time, public funding has been cut due to political decisions so private donations are even more desperately needed than before.

This year’s walk happens on Sunday, October 3rd , just two weeks from now. We’re a little late getting our fundraising campaign started this year, which means time is of the essence. You can go directly to our page. Please consider donating any amount because every little bit truly helps!

Thank you for helping us support the JGCC’s mission to empower individuals and engage communities to end domestic violence for the past decade. We look forward to a day when we don’t need to ask again!
