Hi Everyone

As you may know, I'm running the Beachy Head Marathon on Saturday 24th October, apparently the toughest off-road marathon in the UK.

What you may not know (because I've only just started) is that I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, a worthy cause that is close to home.

I know it's a tad on the late side to start raising money now but I'm going for a sprint finish! I thought I'd wait until I had been given the all clear from the physio and had survived my final long practice run...a mere 30km in 3hrs (and for those calorie counters out there - I burned 2,500 and rewarded myself with a blueberry tart...nice!).

Any donations, no matter how small, will be hugely appreciated. Not only will you be helping with research into dementia, you will also be helping me reach the finish line.
