An amazing group Weldmar Hospiceare supporters and fundraisers will be taking on the challenging twelve day trek across Madagascar.

Story

My family and I received support from Weldmar when my Dad and husband were diagnosed with terminal cancer. They both passed away in 2020. With the support from Weldmar both passed peacefully away at home.  Without Weldmar's support this would not have been possible. It was an awful time coping with their loss and whilst going through the global pandemic restrictions.

I'm completing this challenge to raise funds for Weldmar so that they can provide the same support to other families, that we received at the most difficult time of their lives.

Weldmar -

Weldmar Hospicecare provides specialist care for adults in Dorset with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones. All of our care is provided for free, and we need to raise £26,000 every day to continue providing all of our services. This includes care at home from Weldmar Community Nurses and Weldmar at Home, our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, counselling and bereavement support, social workers, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, and so much more. These amazing people are taking on a challenging twelve day trip across the towering mountains, verdant grasslands and exotic rainforests of the incredible island of Madagascar to support Weldmar Hospicecare - thank you for supporting them!
