Story
Hi, my name's Charlie Jones and I am 9 years old from Llangollen, North Wales. Back in September 2018, I decided I would grow my hair for the next two years without getting a haircut!
I decided to do this after seeing some children on TV who were living with cancer and had lost their hair as a result of their treatment. Seeing them made me feel sad and I really wanted to help them.
I then found out that there was a charity called The Little Princess Trust who made wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other things. The wigs they make are made of real hair that people have donated and I thought this was amazing!
So I decided that I would help these children out as well by growing my hair long for two years and then donating it to this brilliant charity.
I'm also trying to go that one step further and raise additional funds for the charity by asking people to sponsor me for growing my hair.
Just so you know, I'll finally be getting my hair cut in Llangollen town centre at 2pm on Saturday 29th August, where I'd like to invite everyone to come along and support me as I get it cut off!
Thank you very much in advance - any small donation is appreciated and goes to a great cause.
Thank you, Charlie xx
