Our ten-year old son, Charlie, was recently diagnosed with a soft-tissue sarcoma, a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour. He will be having surgery to remove the tumour, at great risk to his spine, at the end of March, before having radiotherapy.
His big sister, Rachael, has decided she would like to shave her hair off in support of her brother, (even though he will not be having chemotherapy), and to help raise money for Children with Cancer UK.
We would like to raise a minimum of £2500 before she goes ahead with her plans. Even after, we have raised this amount and she has shaved her head, we plan to keep this page open to raise money to help support this amazing charity.
While we are heartbroken that our little boy has cancer, we are determined to remain positive and help him beat it.
Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That’s ten every day. Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. We fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and we work to protect young lives through essential welfare programmes.
