Our vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer. For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond. Our work has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates and improved quality of life for patients.

I  am running the Marathon in Honor of Alexander Pepe. This special soul was taken from us too early in 2023. There are so many things I could say about him but to keep it brief - Alex had a real lust of life. He was an incredible teacher, a fantastic friend and touched the lives of so many people. He loved tennis and he loved to dance!

A charity very close to Alex’s heart was Children with Cancer,
so I am fundraising to continue his support. He chose Children with Cancer UK as he wanted to help all the children affected to have as much support, and an increased chance of survival. He knew himself that facing cancer as an adult is a scary time, however he understood how much scarier it is for a child and their support system.
