Story
Hey guys!
I’m going to run the 10k Bupa Great Edinburgh Run on the 7 of October in memory of the gorgeous Eilidh Brown. Eilidh fought so hard but lost her fight to germ cell cancer back in 2010 just nine days before her 16 birthday.
All money raised for this more than worthy cause will be used to build a respite holiday house in Stirlingshire for other families across the United Kingdom, with youngsters up to the age of 21 who are in treatment or recovering from cancer or who have suffered a similar loss.
The inspiration for a respite home came from Calum’s Cabin, a similar holiday home on the Isle of Bute, where Eilidh and her family shared their last holiday together. Not only did it provide some desperately needed respite, it also brought great joy, especially to Eilidh and her siblings, which was priceless at a very difficult time - memories which will be treasured always.
