Hello there!

My name is Charles Michael Duke, I have Cystic Fibrosis, oh,
and in May 2018 I had a double lung transplant!

I was diagnosed with CF at birth, and since then I have
developed, Pancreatic insufficiency, CF related Diabetes and Anaemia!

I’m an actor who before COVID was touring in a Cher Tribute
show playing Sonny and Meatloaf. COVID has affected a lot of people in a lot of
different ways, but none more so than HIGH RISK people. AS someone who has had
a double lung transplant I fit into this category, but I also fit in because of
my Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition affecting more
than 10,500 people in the UK. You are born with CF and cannot catch it later in
life, but one in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually
without knowing.

The gene affected by CF controls the movement of salt and
water in and out of cells. People with cystic fibrosis experience a build-up of
thick sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive system and other organs, causing a
wide range of challenging symptoms affecting the entire body.

The Cystic Fibrosis trust have been a rock for many people with
CF during the pandemic, providing Financial support, emotional support. Support
with benefits, and information on the latest guidance. Ands whilst they do this
all the time for people with CF I really wanted to thank them for what they’ve
done for people with CF during this time, but doing what I’ve done with this time
– Gaming.

As two people with CF can’t meet face to face due to cross
infection, Social media and gaming are two fantastic ways for people with CF to
meet, communicate and ultimately, feel less alone.

So for 24 hours, I will be combining the two by live
streaming myself playing games on Social Media! I will be playing all sorts of games
both by myself, with mates, and even with other people with CF!
