Story

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Many of you understand the political knife edge that we tread in maintaining both our rural economy and enjoyment of the countryside around us. We are often called the silent majority and the Countryside Alliance has done exceptional work in defending us against further misguided legislation following the ban on hunting with dogs in 1997.

Education is our greatest ally but it can be extremely difficult to overcome inflexible ideas in the media.  Youngsters are in danger of losing a great deal of knowledge.  To counteract this, the Countryside Alliance Foundation is dedicated to getting young people out into the fresh air to help them experience the real countryside.  With this education comes understanding and with understanding comes support.  Whether you are reliant on the rural way of life or merely enjoy it, please donate so that the next generation are not left with a sanitised view of rural Britain that ultimately could lead to irrevocable damage.  If you hunt, shoot or enjoy the countryside in another way that is under threat, this especially is our shared burden.  Please give now before it is too late.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Many children and young people know little about the countryside and rural way of life. Its programme of educational initiatives will introduce them, and their teachers, to the beauty, importance and diversity of our rural heritage, inspiring them to become passionate about its future and protect it for future generations.
