Story
So, why is someone who is scared of heights climbing a mountain??
As some of you will know 8 years ago I lost my wife to cancer.
Halton Haven Hospice were the ones who cared for her and also for myself and our children, and still do.
A truly dedicated, caring and professional team of people who look after those with terminal or life limiting illnesses in the local area.
And like most local hospices less than half of the 2.3 million pounds needed per year comes from government funding. The rest is from donations, and this is where you lovely people come in. As my daughter is a fundraising manager, I have been ‘coerced’ into signing up for this hike, a mere 4160ish metre trek to the top of North Africas highest peak.
I understand times are tough but any donations would make a huge difference to the hospice and the care they can provide, also oxygen and a couple of new knees might help.
