Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 26th April 2019 I lost my beautiful partner, Maria because of secondary triple negative breast cancer. She was first diagnosed with TNBC in July 2017. However, despite chemo, a mastectomy, radiotherapy, more chemo and immunotherapy, the cancer was very aggressive. Not only had it recurred, it had also spread to her lungs.
Recently, two of my work colleagues also lost their dear friend, Louise, to the same type of cancer. Cancer knows no boundaries. It doesn’t care who or what you are, where you come from, how much money you have, what aspirations, goals, plans or what dreams you may have. Cancer doesn't discriminate. It simply doesn’t care about you at all.
My pledge is to therefore carry on honouring not only Maria’s and Louise’s memory, but also all those who have lost their battle against breast cancer, by raising funds for biomedical research and for the provision of continued support so that everyone with secondary breast cancer can live well for as long as possible. That is why I am walking for Breast Cancer Now on the 19th September 2020.
Your support means a lot and is greatly appreciated. Every pound you donate will help bring us closer to finding a way to stop breast cancer from devastating more lives.
Thank you.
Charles.
