We are here to support railway people

Story

Charles gave many years of dedicated service as a railway signalman in the western region. In his retirement he continued, driven by his passion, to serve voluntarily on the South Devon Railway.

Charles believed fervently in the importance of passing on his craft to the next generation as well as looking out for his fellow railwaymen.

The Railway Benefit Fund is the industry's charity to support current and former employees. It offers financial assistance, practical help and wide-ranging advice.

I think Charles would have supported this cause wholeheartedly.
