Story

While children in the UK have returned to school, children in Gaza have no schools or universities to go back to.

Over the past year, we have watched with horror and hopelessness the killing of thousands of civilians and the systematic destruction of schools, universities, and places that give hope.

‘For us Palestinians, education is life and death. We can stay hungry, but not ignorant’

Despite the odds, Palestine has one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Students have been steadfast and determined and have continued to learn in tents, online, without electricity, water, and with bombs raining down.

Many have become NHS doctors or NASA scientists and engineers, artists, journalists, teachers ; with your help, they could achieve much more.

This autumn, I will run my fourth Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise funds for the Galilee Foundation - - a charity that supports education in Palestine.

Thank you in advance for supporting me and donating whatever you can. Big or small, it will make a difference in these challenging times.
