In October this year, I will be going out to Asira, a city on the West Bank, to volunteer with the award-winning non-profit charity SkatePal.
In the month that we'll spend there we will be teaching Palestinian girls, boys, young people and adults how to skateboard, which will help them gain the confidence to try something they wouldn’t normally do, especially for the women as it breaks down the barriers of it being a mainly male-dominated activity, whilst learning how to skate, socialise and above all have fun with everyone.
