Story

I wanted to be part of the Red Runners Team as a personal challenge, but also to join the other members of our amazing Fundraising Team who always go above and beyond to both help our amazing fundraisers, but also to raise funds themselves!

I am fortunate enough to have worked within the Fundraising Team for over 15 years now, and within the hospital for over 22 years and I couldn't be more grateful for the good times I've had here, and the amazing people I've met and worked alongside.  I honestly love this hospital and am constantly in awe of our amazing staff across all departments, alongside our awesome children and young patients who are more incredible than anyone, and more brave than many adults I have known!

I plan to do my half marathon in 2 runs, on 2 consecutive days, so 6.55 miles on each day!  Hoping to do this either on Friday /Saturday (25/26th) or Sat/Sun (26th/27th) this weekend.  I'm going to need all the motivation and help I can get, so please sponsor me and make my target goal a reality!  xx

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
