We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Over the next coming months two teams of 6 students from Churcher's College Petersfield will be taking part in a relay attempt across the english channel from Dover to Calais.

We are currently training hard in the pool up to three times a week, and progress into open water training in May (including racing in the Henley Classic) in order to fully prepare ourselves for the final swim in the first week of September 2024.

I have chosen to support Alzheimer's Society for the duration of the challenge as it holds a close relationship with my family, due to the passing of my grandma Dorothy Evans in 2022 from the disease. Taking part in this amazing swimming fundraiser not only invites both a physical and mental challenge but also allows me to offer support to such crucial cause which additionally holds a special place in my heart.

My aim is to raise £500 across the 7 months, and hope to aid this process by hosting minor fundraisers along the way alongside my teammates, who have also chosen various charities to support.

Any donations are welcome 😊
