Will keep you posted on the swim and send out the live tracker on the day.

UPDATE:

3 MONTHS TO GO!! The nerves are kicking in now as the Big Swim is fast approaching!

I’ve not had the average training period for the Channel with the pools being closed during lockdown but feel like I have come out of winter having done as much as I could. Lots of strength and conditioning, lots of rowing to keep my aerobic capacity up and lots of little dips in the sea.

Now the long sea swims begin!

We’ve made some fun promo videos for primary and secondary schools and posters to go up around the hospital and in the local area.

Please like, please share and please give generously! Together we can do so much!

Thank you :)

Yes, I could take a ferry - I have been told that many times! - but I love swimming and I love an adventure so instead I am swimming to France!

I hope to inspire people and raise a whole lot of money for the lovely Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital along the way.

I have been a children's nurse for 13 years and worked at the Royal Alex since it opened in 2007. I LOVE it! And I still feel so privileged to be able to care for the children and their families who need to come into hospital.

Follow my training progress at https://channelswimmingmum.net/ or on Instagram @channelswimmingmum.

Please be generous! All monies donated will go directly to benefit the children who come into the Royal Alex.
