Thanks for taking the time to read my story..We lost Dad to cancer 7 years ago and it was heartbreaking and life changing for all our family. My Dad was an amazing proud, hard working family man, Dad, Granddad and Husband. When my Dad was really poorly we really wanted Dad at home as much as we could. This is were Macmillian were amazing, they supported my Mum in caring for my Dad at home, we are so proud of Mum using her nursing skills to ensure Dad stayed at home, pain free with his family and creature comforts. With the support of macmillian Dad only visited hospital for treatment and Mum looked after dad at home,keeping Dad independant comfortable, painfree and able to get outside into the fresh air and have family round whenever. Macmillian along with my Mum ensured we had our Dad as long as we could at home and still having a fun. Dad was still laughing and joking with Mum the day before he passed away and we are so grateful when Dad did pass he was at home with Mum
