Story
We can all make a difference this Christmas!
Wycombe Wanderers are always keen to support its local community and are looking to fund as many nights of care as possible (£675 per night) to help Rennie Grove nurses through December to keep patients with life-limiting illnesses at home with their loved ones, for what could be their last Christmas.
This year has been like no other. Even in the darkest hours, Rennie Grove nurses have been there to offer care and support. For many families the most challenging time can be in the middle of the night, when it feels like there is no one else to support them.
Their nurses can be called for advice and support over the phone, or to make visits to patients and their families, at any time of the night.
During the first lockdown, nurses were caring for over 600 patients. This is the highest number ever in their history and is significant when compared to a bedded hospice, who can care for a limited number of patients at a time.
It is anticipated that this Christmas and beyond, they will continue to care for record numbers, whilst other services have stopped.
Thank you.
