Ibstock Chailey Brick Factory Half Marathon 2010
If you are reading this introduction it is probably for one of two reasons, the first being because you know a member of the Ibstock Chailey Factory team taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon in February 2010 or the second that you are simply just interested in supporting a worthwhile cause, which in this case happens to be the Chailey Heritage School. The is a pioneering centre of excellence founded by Dame Grace Kimmins in 1903 and is for pupils with physical, communication, sensory and learning difficultie For over 100 years the aim of school which is situated in was to give the children as much independence and as many opportunities as possible in a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. The school also place a great emphasis on developing innovative ways to help each young pupil to progress their communication and mobility skills, since it is through these resources they the children can achieve a greater independence. At the Ibstock Brick Factory at we are fully aware of the importance in supporting the local community and in recent years have tried to contribute or donate too many worthwhile causes in and around the local area. In this case much of the Chailey Heritage site has indeed been built from our bricks over the years and during these lean economic times schools like these need as much assistance as possible to continue their excellent work. This is why our staff took the decision to support the and indeed to try and raise as much money as we can through our commitment to complete the Brighton Half Marathon. The collective factory target is a mere £1000 but we would obviously dearly like to beat this if we can. So please if you wish to support seven unfit athletes trying to make a difference or indeed help the heritage then make a donation and remember to give generously…….Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
