Fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Story
Dear Friends and Family,
Over the past few months I've been training for my first NYC marathon which takes place just a couple weeks away on November 1st. The thought of traveling 26.2 miles at first seemed like an impossible feat for someone who has never covered more than six miles at one time until recently. With that said, my motivation is not personal and that has made all the difference.
I will be dedicating the race to a close family friend of mine named Liam McIntyre. Liam is 12yrs old and fights each and everyday with Cystic Fibrosis. Liam is now a 6th grader and a straight A student at the LaVilla School of the Art. He enjoys being active like any other kid in flag football, surfing, indoor sky diving (most recently for his bday in September), and a number of school activities.
Of course these activities would not be possible without an amazing supporting cast of family members. Everyday the family continues to face the challenges of trying to keep Liam healthy. He takes 20-30 pills everyday just to be able to eat and also gets 3 nebulizer treatments to loosen the extra sticky mucus in his lungs. Liam actually takes several medications that have been developed during his lifetime. These and the drugs currently in clinical trials would not be possible without support for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust which helps Liam and others with CF live longer, healthier lives.

Every donation counts whether it's $1 or $10 or $100. The more donations the better. I'd rather have one thousand $1 donations than one $1000 donation any day.
