Hit the £2750 mark. Just £1,000 to go!! Thanks to everyone that has donated so far!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I wanted to do something to help Macmillan and decided the best way was to combine this with one of my greatest interests which is cycling.
The Macmillan Escape to Africa challenge starts just east of Nairobi in Kenya and crosses rough savannah, through wooded bush land, past the foot of the highest, freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro, and over the finish line at the largest intact volcanic crater on earth, the Ngorongoro Crater.
The ride is a total of 550KM (approx 344 miles) over 8 days.
I am aiming to raise £5,000 and at least 65% of this goes straight to Macmillan.
More information on the challenge is available here:
http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Fundraising/Cyclingevents/Africa/Escape%20to%20Africa.aspx
So please dig deep and donate now.
Now the legal bit:
Each participant must raise a minimum of £3,750. At least 65% of this money will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support, the balance being spent on the costs of the participant’s trip. 100% of any sum raised over £3,750 will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support.
