To celebrate the Queen's platinum Jubilee in June, we will be running a Spinathon Fundraising Event: Cycling for 70 hours to mark 70 years!

What is the CF Jubilee Spinathon?

We are assembling a team of riders who will cycle in shifts to keep the pedals turning nonstop on two spin bikes for 70 consecutive hours, from 5pm on Wednesday 1st June until 3pm Saturday 4th June.

One bike will be based outside at the front of the community centre during the day, with others situated indoors in the Wright Room for the overnight shifts. 

What are we raising money for?

All funds raised from the event will go towards the much-needed upgrade of our audio-visual equipment throughout our rooms and halls to benefit our users and visitors. Last year we raised just over £2,000 towards this project by taking part in the Ilkley Half Marathon, with the help of Ilkley Grammar School.  This year, we're aiming to better that amount with an even more ambitious event!

We're asking all riders taking part to aim to raise at least £10 through sponsorship. 

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you can cycle for 15 minutes or an hour, we need your help to complete the challenge!

How can I support the event?

• Make a donation here on our Just Giving page!
• You can sponsor someone you know to take part in the event.
• You can fill in a sponsorship form in the Centre to pledge an amount to support the team as a whole.
• Or you can simply donate money on the day!
• Come down to the Centre to cheer on the team! The Café will be open, at its usual hours, throughout the event so come in for hot drinks, cakes, lunch and more!
