We’re incredibly saddened and concerned about the war in Ukraine and the devastating effect it is having on people and animals. Lives have been lost, houses and hospitals destroyed, alongside veterinary clinics and animal shelters have been damaged and abandoned. Stray animals, and now-homeless pets are terrified and injured. 

Four Paws is the global animal welfare organisation for animals under direct human influence, which reveals suffering, rescues animals in need and protects them. Their vision is a world where humans treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding.
