Story
UPDATED WEDNESDAY 3/30/2022:
Thru the generosity of family and colleagues at work, I have successfully met my fundraising target for the 2022 London Marathon!
But let's not stop here my friends! These children need all of the help they can get! I am gladly still accepting donations for Able Child Africa so I will be updating my target to $3,000 - lets go overtime my friends and lets hit $3,000!
Able Child Africa plays a key role in supporting local partners to protect, educate and empower children with disabilities in the countries where we work. Featured here is the story of Rose and her parents in Malawi. When Rose's parents discovered their first daughter was born with cerebral palsy, they didn't know what to do. They had never seen a child with a disability before and faced with the stigma that surrounds disability, Rose was hidden away. Able Child Africa's project in partnership with FEDOMA is reaching out to other families like Rose's to help identify children with disabilities in rural Malawi and ensure they get the help they so desperately need.
For me personally, I cannot tell you how gratifying it is to be able to have the opportunity to raise money for Able Child Africa and help children like Rose and their families! Neglect like this must END and I am hopeful that with your help, we can make strides towards that. I am thankful for your time, friendship and any donation you can make towards this effort so that we can bolster Able Child Africa's mission to raise awareness to families like Rose's
As for me, it is humbling that I may be able to run the London Marathon as a part of this effort. I promise to give this marathon my all and carry each and every child helped thru Able Child Africa on my shoulders through every mile of training and of course, those 26.2 miles in London! Thank you again!
Yours truly,
Cesar
