Story
I'm taking on the Superhero Triathlon to help raise vital funds for the Spinal Injuries Association. There are around 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) in the UK, and approximately 2,500 people sustain or acquire a spinal cord injury each year. That's one person every eight hours! SIA support SCI people and their families through their regional support coordinators, specialist SCI nurses, support line and counselling service, as well providing advocacy, continued healthcare (CHC) advice and campaigning for change.
As someone who now suffers with a SCI following Cauda Equine Syndrome I’ve found SIAs service and support so helpful. They have reassured me and given me direction as well as help to find others who are going through the same experience.
Please sponsor me, so that they can continue and expand this life changing work. Thank you!
