Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For the 795 million people across the world living in chronic hunger, sugary foods and drinks are entirely inaccessible. In the developed world, we take our access to these treats for granted. For 2 weeks I want to make not only a commitment to raising awareness for the living conditions of these people, but also make a personal commitment to my own health. Thus for 2 weeks I will be avoiding all processed sugar and sugary products.
I would greatly appreciate any donation to help support me on the Challenge and the great cause that The Hunger Project UK stands for.
The Hunger Project UK focuses on empowerment and developing leadership to produce sustainable solutions to world hunger and poverty. Strategies include support to empower women within local democracy in India, building a movement of women leaders in Bangladesh, strengthening the capacity of indigenous
leaders in Latin America, and creating and establishing women-owned and women-run rural banks across Africa. Donating money to the Hunger Project can help train mothers to use local resources, give women micro-finance loans to start and grow small businesses and empower people to become village leaders and train their fellow villages on issues such as education and sanitation.
