Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some people in life are born to give a fresh perspective on any situation, others are gifted to show us a fresh perspective with humour, delivered with a wry smile. Chris Charnock was the latter. A bright, energetic and likeable person with a sharp, perceptive mind, and life long Everton fan. Chris was a devoted husband, father, colleague and friend. Always able to shine a light during challenging times, and none more challenging than living with Motor Neurone Disease at such a young age. He faced this with courage, dignity and a healthy dose of wit and humour. We, his former colleagues at Certis, want to honour Chris’ memory by completing the ‘Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge’ in a day on 11th June 2022 to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, to help them carry on the work they do to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carers.
The Yorkshire 3 peak challenge is a distance of 39.2km and of 1,600m ascent, to be completed within 12 hours.
The team members are Tim Eaton, Morley Benson, Kate Downes, Peter Shakespeare, Verity Clarke, Henry Welham, Jeremy Booth, Natasha Ramirez-Griffiths, Dina Ganesan, Fiona Spicer, Sue Young. A number of brave partners are also anticipating the climb.
If you can spare a few pennies then we would be very grateful.
