We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

As you may know, a few months ago we found out that my Dad had an aggressive tumour and had to have some pretty serious surgery.  He's still undergoing chemotherapy and will need more treatment for quite a while, but we're so grateful that he's come through the surgery and the treatment received so far. I've had my eyes opened to the commonalilty of bowel cancer and the lack of awareness of it, and how simple it is to check for any obvious symptoms.  Bowel Cancer UK do a great job of raising awareness and providing information on this disease.

As a result of what's happened in our family I've made a few changes to my own lifestyle recently and with the help of my fantastic trainer, Sandy, found myself getting fitter and healthier!  Please sponsor me as I attempt this 5K canter around Hyde Park on September 6 2009.  You're welcome to come and join the fun on the day if you're free.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

thanks a lot - I really appreciate your support - Ceri
