These are the words of Richard Davies:
I lost my wife of 38 years, Kathy, on 26 December 2021.
She had fought courageously with progressive MS for 23 years.
She was always positive, had a kind word for everyone and never complained about the cards life had dealt her.
She leaves a huge void in my life, my family and the dedicated carers we count as close friends.
Kathy and I shared a special love all my adult life and the way she bore her long illness has been an inspiration to me.
On 25th June 2022 I am going to attempt to play tennis non-stop for 24 hours at Haverfordwest Tennis Club to raise money for the MS Society which has been a huge support over the years.
Tennis has been a great lifeline for me while caring for Kathy, and I have made many friends at the club.
I will be joined in the tennis marathon by Ceri, whose husband Bryan has also been recently diagnosed with MS and the club's head coach Tom Hole.
Together we hope to raise money to help find a cure for this illness.
