Story
On the 9th January 2021 our beautiful daughter Ella was born at St Peters Hospital. She was delivered by emergency caesarian due to reduced movements. Sadly, after a long, terrifying week Ella passed away in my arms on the 16th January. Ella had suffered a foetal maternal haemorrhage prior to her delivery.
She spent 7 days in NICU with the most incredible, outstanding team of nurses and doctors who took great care of her. Paul and I will forever be grateful to them for the time we had with Ella and the ability to see her everyday to make memories, which we will cherish always.
During this time, NICU became our home and the staff became our family. Paul and I often think about how we could ever thank them for everything they did for Ella and the endless support they showed us. We want to support them; we want to support them just like they supported our family and thousands of others across the country. Without them our story may have been a lot different.
The Little Roo Neonatal Fund raises money to provide the support that St. Peter’s Neonatal Unit continues to require to offer the highest standards of intensive care for babies born in Surrey and further afield.
In Ella’s memory we would like to raise money for the Little Roo charity fund to enable them to continue to support St Peters NICU.
We would like to thank our family, friends and colleagues for all the love, generosity and words of support over the last 2 months.
