Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Stuart and I have been climbing the Scottish Munros for the last ten years. These are the mountains in Scotland that are over 3,000ft (915m) tall. There are 282 of them and they are located in all areas of the Scottish Highlands. Many are very remote and it has required a great deal of determination and effort to climb them all. We are now attempting to climb our last one, Ben Lomond on 26 August 2017.
I volunteer at The Calvert Trust which is an outward bound centre that provides challenging outdoor activities for anyone with a disability. Nothing is impossible, no matter how severely disabled someone is. Typical activities include kayaking, canoeing, sailing, rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, cycling, horse riding and even paragliding. It is so rewarding to see how people gain in confidence by challenging themselves. It makes them feel anything is possible. The Calvert Trust would not exist without the generous donations that people give.
Both Stuart and I will be 60 over the next year and if you were thinking of buying us a present (and even if you weren't), the best present we could wish for would be for you to support this fundraising effort.
Thank you so much.
