We foster young leaders to to create a more just and hopeful world

Story

I am looking forward to working at Robla New Hope, a charter middle school in the Robla neighborhood of Sacramento. This school brings an in-district middle school option to the students in the Robla school district, strengthening their local community. I will be in a position as a teacher's aide. I hope this will help me learn what I want to pursue in the future within the field of education.

I graduated in May 2023 as a French and Education Studies double major. I also obtained my certificate for teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) during my time in college. I look forward to being able to apply the knowledge that I've gained through my studies in the diverse community Robla New Hope.

I am also looking forward to this upcoming year as a year of growth. I do not see this year with JVC as a gap year, but rather as a year of exploration and reflection which will hopefully allow me to better discern what my core values are, what I want to do in the future, and how I want to live my life. Being able to have a positive impact on kids' lives doesn't hurt either!
