My name is Cassie and I work at Royal Preston Hospital as a Clinical Research Administrator (FT) and a Senior HCA (Bank)
I applied believing that I didn't have a chance of being selected. I was honest and told them that I can't dance, I have zero rhythm, no spatial awareness, and no coordination. I think I was chosen despite this, because they could see how much I would love to learn. I have always been a bit on the butch side, I never really learnt how to dress up, do my hair and make-up. Yet, every year, I watch Strictly Come dancing and I picture what it would be like. Deep down inside, all I want is to dress up like a lady and dance with elegance, grace, and joy. I also want to give something back to the NHS. Everything that the staff has been through, I want to raise as much money and moral for them as I can. Both my husband and I are Military veterans, we have experience in understanding PTSD and other such mental health issues that arise from traumatic events. I want to make as many people smile as possible.
