CB Reid are taking on the challenge of walking the 2nd quarter of the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge as a team. Some of us will find it more challenging than others we're sure, but we are aiming to complete it together. 

Muscular Dystrophy UK has been fighting muscle wasting conditions for over 50 years. Donations help to support people living with muscular dystrophy and the vital research the charity carries out. Every day Muscular Dystrophy UK is working towards a future with effective treatments and ultimately cures for all muscle-wasting conditions and where there are no limits in life for people who are affected. Not only can your donations really help them to achieve this, but they also help to support those living with Muscular Dystrophy as well.

Whilst muscular dystrophy is a physical condition it is as much a mental battle too. We are eternally grateful that Paul (Laura's husband) is progressing slowly, however the progressive nature of his disease can be quite cruel. Just when we think we have come to terms with Paul's reduced abilities, he will experience another set back like a fall, or not being able to get up from the floor or pick up his son as easily as before and the mental processes of dealing with it starts all over again! 

It has taken me (Laura) sometime to realise that feeling guilty about my abilities is not productive or helpful to Paul in anyway and so we are doing this walk to help raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK. Whilst Paul would relish the opportunity to go for just a one mile coastal walk with his family, I also know that he will be overwhelming proud of us all for doing this walk.
