Story

Never do you ever think you'll lose 3 friends so long before their time. Never do you ever think you'll lose those 3 friends in the space of 2 very short years.

Unfortunately, that is a sad reality for us all at the Collingwood Batchellor store in Horley, a small family run business of approximately 40 members of staff. 3 of whom were diagnosed, received treatment & passed away from cancer so close together.

They all fought a brave & courageous battle, forever smiling through the pain, never complaining & insisting on carrying on as normal right to the very end, never wanting a fuss.

St Catherine's Hospice gave them & their families the much needed support & dignity they deserved at the end of their lives. Without them, their passing would have undoubtedly been very different.

We are doing this walk to not only honour them & keep their memory alive but also to raise money for the hospice so others & their families going through similar situations have the loving care & support that is so greatly needed at such a difficult time.
